About Centaur Home Renovation Services

In June of 2019 Matt Evans founded Centaur Home Renovation Services. Originally from Texas, Evans grew up farming and ranching. He helped build his grandfather’s home, remodeled his family home, and was always involved in building projects. While completing these projects, he learned about drywall, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and welding. At the age of 20, Evans joined the Army, where his job was aircraft structural repair. Evans served nine and half years, in which time he completed training in combatives, Enlisted Green Platoon, Airborne School, SERE-C (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape), and had seven deployments, including several to Iraq and Afghanistan. Evans served as a sergeant and held numerous roles including building manager, technical inspector, TMDE NCOIC (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Non-commissioned Officer in Charge) and team leader. Upon retiring, Evans worked for two and half years in Savannah as a project manager for a construction company, and subsequently branched out on his own by creating Centaur Home Renovation Services
